GL Accountant

Our client is an expert in the field of product media. Its core business is the development, sale and distribution of promotional products to its international network of professional distributors. Our client has sourcing & purchasing expertise, a global network of buying and selling offices and a branched distribution network. The product and brand strategy specifically focuses on developing and marketing a broad collection of high-quality products marketed both under the organisation and under various licensed brand names. Thus, the company has an exceptional product portfolio of promotional items.

To strengthen the Finance team in Roelofarendsveen, the company is now looking for a GL Accountant. The coming years will mainly be about further professionalising Finance & Control to a higher level. Your team consists of 4 General Ledger colleagues and you will also work together with 3 Financial Controllers. Finally, you will report to the Group Controller EU.

As a GL Accountant, you will be responsible for up-to-date, accurate, analysed data in the ledgers. 

What will you do?

• Preparing and improving standardised P&L and Balance Sheet, WKR and environmental tax reports;
• Checking reconciliation between debtors/creditors subaccounts with general ledger;
• Maintaining accounting activities (accruals, fixed assets);
• Entering payroll journal entries into the general ledger;
• Preparing monthly management OPEX reporting;
• Preparing sales faculties and journal entries;
• Performing timely periodic closures.

Who are you?

• You are customer-supportive, eager to learn and show initiative;
• Analytical, independent, solution-oriented character;
• 3-5 years' work experience as a GL Accountant;
• Good command of the English language;
• BS degree in Finance or Accounting;
• Listening and communication skills;
• Skilled with MS Office.
