Controller

Our client is a very successful start-up in FMCG, based in Amsterdam (city center). Since its inception 6 years ago the organization has grown rapidly and currently they are the #2 brand in the Benelux. Recently they have very successfully launched in the UK as well. To support further growth they are seeking to recruit an allround Controller reporting to the Head of Finance & Ops. A fantastic opportunity to be part of a fast growing start-up.

Operational

• Responsible for monthly and annual reporting plus provide advice on outcomes to support the business
• Monthly closing, working capital and (if needed) hands-on administrative tasks
• Coordinate the budgeting proces, forecasts and compare results vs. budget; has the ability to work closely with non-financials such as marketing, sales and operations

Strategic

• Participate in projects such as setting up new administrations abroad, presenting business-cases, support investment decisions etc.)
• Actively involved in typical start up Ad-hoc activities
• Optimization of financial processes and cost-structure

• Educated to a University degree in Finance/Economics ar Accounting
• Technically solid a, analytically strong with the ability to provide stakeholders and teams with useful advice
• Several years relevant experience in a similar role as an allround controller, preferably in FMCG
• Since the organization is young and fast-growing not all processes and procedures are not yet optimal; this does not scare you but energizes you
• IT savvy, strong with Excel
• Fluent English is a must
• The candidate is currently living in the Netherlands, we will not accept applications from outside the Netherlands
